DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

James Higgins, DPT, OCS

Dr. James Higgins received his Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Higgins searched for an outpatient position that offered a one-on-one treatment approach to physical therapy practice. He found this opportunity when he met Frank Ruggiero, owner of Integrative Physical Therapy of NYC (IPT), through a mutual friend and has practiced at IPT ever since, conveniently located in Midtown, Manhattan by Grand Central.

Since 2015, Dr. Higgins has become co-owner of IPT and has earned his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification, making him familiar with the most advanced techniques and methods to assist patients towards optimal function and rehabilitation. In his free time, Dr. Higgins enjoys living an active lifestyle, which includes; running, and Crossfit and Hyrox training. He is also a member of the FDNY since 2016 and works out of Engine Company 14 in Union Square.
